Description
You do not have to be "high church" to use this musical setting of the Eucharistic Prayer, nor do you need to be particularly "liturgical". But you do have to be of the mind that observing the Eucharist / Communion / the Last Supper is a cause to sing.
As you will see from the score, there are a number of options for performing this setting. The full instrumentation includes handbells, flute and keyboard. Included are separate scores for two octave, three octave and four octave handbell choirs. Note the full score shows only partially the handbell part. Any combination of these instruments will work. The only part that is not optional is the singing of the text. The word "Eucharist" comes from a Greek word which means thanksgiving or gratitude. It is with this spirit that a congregation should sing these musical statements.
